Organisers, the environmental charity Action for Conservation, say the Penpont project is the largest youth-led nature restoration scheme of its kind in the world in terms of the geographical area covered. [1] The station building survives today, and is located in the centre of a quarry. Great Western Railway closure signage is still visible on the building, nearly 70 years after its closure.
