That allows for spring back of the brass case neck after sizing of about .001, which gives a .001 intereference fit. That is enough to hold the bullet tight. But, I read that guys go a full .004 less and that seems to work for them. Web17 dec. 2024 · Minimum thickness is .004 less than your chamber neck dimensions. A quick easy way to turn them down is to find the thinnest section of the case neck with the carbide cutter on the turner, set to that depth and start trimming at that point until the whole surface is uniform and shining to that thickness.
