I took the "stick your Glock tool in the hole and depress the sides of the magazine and gently tug it off" approach. Small freaking problem though. The tool cracked the magazine insert in half!

WebJan 3, 2024 · Okay so I put it put together, or so i thought (forgot to install the recoil spring). Immediately the barrel dropped into the front of the frame. Now the rear of the barrel is in the frame and the barrel is sticking out of the barrel hole. I have a little wiggle room, but couldn't free the barrel or relase the slide. I’ve disassembled Glock mags a bazillion times by simply inserting the armorer’s tool into the hole in the basepad, all the way to the plastic handle of the tool, and then prying the base pad off of the magazine body.
